University of Sussex Sanctuary Scholarship

The Sanctuary Scholarship provides financial support to forced migrants or those granted temporary leave in the UK who cannot access student loans. It enables them to pursue a Master’s degree at the University of Sussex.  Who Can Apply?  Applicants who:  Have received an offer to study a Master’s degree at the University of Sussex (starting September 2025)  Are residing in the UK  Meet the defined immigration and financial hardship criteria (detailed below)  What is Covered?  Full waiver of ‘Overseas’ tuition fees  £16,440 living cost support  Free Sussexsport membership  Eligibility Criteria  To apply, you must:  Be currently residing in the UK  Have an offer to study an eligible Master’s course at the University of Sussex  Meet one of the following:  Submitted (or be a dependent of someone who has submitted) an asylum application to the UK Home Office  Been granted temporary leave to remain in the UK (e.g. Limited Leave to Remain, Humanitarian Protection)  Be a partner/child of an asylum seeker or an unaccompanied asylum-seeking child  Have a household income of under £35,000  Be unable to access UK government student financial support du...
