Dr. Mohammad Nadimi’s lab at the Department of Biosystems Engineering, University of Manitoba is offering one PhD and one MSc graduate research position. The research focuses on smart sensing systems and advanced data analytics for grain storage management and agri-food quality monitoring.  Who Can Apply?  Candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:  Biosystems Engineering  Electrical/Computer Engineering  Agricultural/Biological Engineering  Or a related field  What is Covered?  MSc stipend: Minimum CAD $21,000/year  PhD stipend: Minimum CAD $26,000/year  Start Dates: Flexible — Fall 2025, Winter 2026, or Summer 2026  Eligibility Criteria  Minimum Requirements:  Relevant academic background (as listed above)  Meet admission and English language requirements of the Faculty of Graduate Studies  Motivation and independence in applied research  Preferred Qualifications:  Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or similar tools  Experience with machine learning and deep learning  Knowledge of sensors (NIR, X-ray, HSI, gas sensors)  Familiarity with grain storage, post-harvest metrics, or quality modeling  Prior scientific publications ...
