The Dr. Mohammad Nadimi Lab in the Department of Biosystems Engineering at the University of Manitoba is inviting applications for one PhD and one MSc position in Smart Sensing and Agri-Food Engineering. These roles support research on smart sensor integration, machine learning, and advanced data analytics for grain storage and post-harvest quality monitoring.  Who Can Apply?  Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following or closely related disciplines:  Biosystems Engineering  Electrical or Computer Engineering  Agricultural or Biological Engineering  What Is Covered?  MSc Position: Minimum stipend of CAD $21,000/year  PhD Position: Minimum stipend of CAD $26,000/year  Flexible start dates: Fall 2025, Winter 2026, or Summer 2026  Funding includes support for living expenses and partial tuition  Eligibility Criteria  Minimum qualifications:  Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field  Strong academic record  Preferred experience:  Programming and data analysis (e.g., Python, MATLAB)  Machine learning and deep learning  Sensor systems such as NIR, X-ray, HSI, or gas sensors  Knowledge in grain storage, post-harvest processes, or quality asse...
