The DigitalMetal CDT is a collaborative PhD programme led by the University of Leicester, with partners including Birmingham, Loughborough, Nottingham, and Warwick. It is designed to train 80 future leaders in transforming the UK’s metals industry using digital technology, AI, and engineering innovation, supported by advanced training in management and leadership.   Who Can Apply?  Applicants from the UK and eligible international students with a strong academic background in a relevant subject. International applicants should confirm if the host institution can cover the tuition difference between home and international fees.  What Is Covered?  Full tuition fees at UK (Home) rate*  Annual stipend of £19,237 (UKRI rate for 2024/25)  Research Training Support Grant (RTSG): £4,000 per year  *Note: International students must confirm if their institution will cover the fee difference.  Eligibility Criteria  At least a 2:1 undergraduate degree (UK BSc or international equivalent) in a relevant subject  Applicants with a 2:2 may be considered if they also hold a relevant Master's degree  Must meet University of Leicester English language requirements  International applicants must ensure visa eligibility and funding to cover visa-related costs (approx. £2,500)  How to Appl...
