The University of Glasgow Sanctuary Scholarships support up to 30 students who have fled to the UK for humanitarian reasons and face barriers to higher education. The scholarship is open to undergraduate and postgraduate taught students applying for September 2025/26 entry. Who Can Apply? Applicants with a firm offer for full-time study at the University of Glasgow in 2025/26 Individuals who: Have applied for asylum in the UK or are appealing a negative decision Have been granted Refugee Status, Humanitarian Protection, or Discretionary Leave Have arrived via schemes such as: UK Resettlement Scheme (UKRS) Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme ARAP Syrian VPRS Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme Ukraine Family Scheme What Is Covered? Full tuition fee waiver for the duration of your course (if ineligible for student finance) £5,000 yearly stipend to assist with study costs University accommodation (if eligible and with no access to public funds) Partial tuition support and stipend also available to those with refugee status and access to student finance Consideration for donor-funded awards covering the stipend only Eligibility Criteria ...
