The Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships, funded by the UK government’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office through the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC), support students from low- and middle-income Commonwealth countries to pursue part-time, online postgraduate degrees at UK universities, including the University of Edinburgh. Who Can Apply? Citizens or residents of eligible Commonwealth countries who are interested in pursuing part-time distance learning master’s programmes in the UK and cannot afford to study without a scholarship. What is Covered? Full tuition fees for up to five years of part-time study No relocation required (fully online learning) Eligibility Criteria To be eligible, applicants must: Be a citizen of, or have refugee status from, an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person Be permanently and continually resident in an eligible Commonwealth country Hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) standard (some flexibility may apply for applicants with relevant experience) Be unable to afford the programme without the scholarship Provide at least one reference Secure an unconditional offer from the University of Edinburgh before the course starts (though not necessarily before applyin...
