The University of British Columbia (UBC) offers a range of competitive scholarships and awards to outstanding international students entering undergraduate programs. These awards recognize academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement. UBC is committed to attracting and supporting global talent through merit-based and need-based financial assistance.  Who Can Apply?  New international students entering UBC from high school or post-secondary institutions  Students with a Canadian study permit (student visa)  Students applying to UBC Vancouver or UBC Okanagan campuses  Students with a strong academic record and active extracurricular/community engagement  Those who meet additional criteria for specific awards (see below)   What is Covered?  Merit-Based Awards  International Major Entrance Scholarship (IMES):  Value: $10,000–$20,000 per year  Duration: Renewable for up to three additional years  Based on: Academic excellence and extracurricular involvement  Outstanding International Student (OIS) Award:  Value: $10,000–$25,000  One-time award  Based on: Academic achievement and leadership  UBC Okanagan International Welcome Award:  Value: $5,000 tuition cr...
