University of Bonn International Fellowships

The Bonn International Fellowships support the short-term (up to 12 days) invitation of excellent international researchers from all disciplines to the University of Bonn, Germany. The aim is to foster academic exchange, enhance collaboration, and increase the visibility of invited scholars in the University’s academic life.   Who Can Apply?  Applicants: Only University of Bonn researchers (post-PhD) may submit applications.  Fellows: International post-doctoral researchers and experienced faculty with a strong reputation in their academic field.   Note: Fellows cannot apply directly. They must be nominated by a host at the University of Bonn.  What Is Covered?  Travel allowance for the invited fellow (varies by country of origin)  Daily allowance: €160/day for up to 12 days (including arrival and departure)  Event costs: Up to €500 per proposal for:  Catering (max €50/guest, €40 for Bonn university members)  Outreach and public relations activities  Funding must be spent between January 1 and December 31, 2026.  Eligibility Criteria  For Fellows:  Must work abroad at a university or research institute  Must have a strong international research reputation  Must be invited and supported by a University...
