The Simmons Distinguished Scholar Award is Simmons University’s most prestigious four-year, full-ride merit scholarship. It is awarded to exceptional first-year applicants who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to community engagement and social impact. Who Can Apply? First-year applicants for Fall semester entry Domestic and international students Students with a minimum GPA of 3.50 Those with a strong academic record and active community involvement What is Covered? Full tuition Mandatory fees (excluding health insurance) Room and board for four years This award replaces all other merit scholarships offered by Simmons Eligibility Criteria To be eligible, applicants must: Apply as a first-year student for the Fall semester Have a minimum GPA of 3.50 Have taken college prep, AP, honors, or IB courses Provide proof of English proficiency if non-native English speaker (Optional) Submit ACT score of 28+ or SAT score of 1300+ Show a record of leadership, volunteerism, or community involvement Exhibit passion for their intended field of study, visible through academics, activities, and resume How to App...
