The RISE (Research Internships in Science and Engineering) Summer Internship offers international students the opportunity to conduct research at top German universities and research institutes. Interns are matched with host institutions based on their field of interest and gain hands-on experience under the supervision of leading researchers.

Who Can Apply?

• Enrolled undergraduate students with at least 2 years completed.

• Students from the USA, Canada, the UK, or Ireland studying Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Earth Sciences.

• German citizens may apply only if they have lived abroad for at least six years.

• No IELTS or German language requirement.

What’s Covered?

• Monthly scholarship stipend

• Health, accident, and personal liability insurance

• Travel allowance (€160 for meetings)

• International travel costs

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be currently enrolled in a recognized university.

• Strong academic background in the relevant field.

• Must provide a motivation letter, CV, transcript, and recommendation letter.
