National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic (nsp) – 2025/2026

The National Scholarship Programme (NSP) of the Slovak Republic offers fully funded scholarships to international students, PhD candidates, university teachers, researchers, and artists for academic mobility stays at Slovak higher education institutions and research organizations. The programme is financed by the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic and administered by SAIA, n. o.     Who can apply?  Citizens of any country (except Slovakia) who meet the following criteria:   Master’s students: Enrolled at universities outside Slovakia, having completed at least 2.5 years of university studies in the same or similar study program, and accepted by a Slovak higher education institution for an academic mobility stay.    PhD students: Enrolled in doctoral programs outside Slovakia and accepted by a Slovak higher education or research institution for a research or artistic stay.   University teachers, researchers, and artists: Invited for a teaching, research, or artistic stay by a Slovak institution with a valid certificate of eligibility to carry out research and development.    What is covered?  Monthly scholarship:  Master’s students: €620   PhD students: €1,025.50    University teachers, researchers, a...
