The MIDE program at HTW Berlin is a three-semester, English-taught Master of Arts designed for professionals aiming to deepen their expertise in international and development economics. It combines rigorous academic training with practical insights, preparing graduates for careers in public and private sectors, international organizations, and NGOs. The program starts in April 2026. Who can apply? Applicants must be nationals of developing countries. What is covered? Monthly stipend of €934. Health, accident, and personal liability insurance. Travel allowance. Full tuition fee coverage. Preparatory German language course (up to 6 months). Eligibility criteria Bachelor’s degree (minimum 180 ECTS or equivalent) in economics, business, or related fields. At least 15 ECTS in economics courses (or 3 economics modules for non-European degrees). English proficiency: TOEFL iBT 96, IELTS 7.0, or equivalent. For degrees with 180 ECTS: either 6 months of relevant professional experience post-graduation or willingness to complete an additional semester to earn the remaining 30 ECTS.
