Mastercard Scholarship at Makerere University in Uganda

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Makerere University is a scholarship initiative that provides financial support to talented but economically disadvantaged students from Sub-Saharan Africa to pursue Undergraduate and Master's degrees at Makerere University’s main campus. The program aims to foster inclusive education and leadership development.  Who can apply?  Applicants must belong to one of the following categories:  Ugandan nationals  Refugees  Students with disabilities  Internally displaced young people (IDPs)  International students from Sub-Saharan Africa  What is covered?  The scholarship provides:  Full tuition and academic fees  Living expenses  Accommodation  Medical insurance  Leadership training and mentorship  Career development support  Eligibility criteria?  Applicants must:  Have applied for admission to Makerere University’s main campus for the 2025/2026 academic year.  Have completed their undergraduate education in an African country.  Be facing financial hardship and unable to afford university education.  Not hold any other scholarship or have previously pursued a Master's degree.  Demonst...
