Maeci Scholarships for Foreign Students and Italians Abroad 2025/2026

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) offers scholarships to foreign citizens and Italian citizens residing abroad (IRE) for the 2025–2026 academic year. These scholarships aim to foster international cooperation in cultural, scientific, and technological fields, promote the Italian language and culture, and support Italy’s economic system.     Who can apply?  Foreign citizens residing outside Italy.   Italian citizens residing abroad (IRE).    What is covered?  Monthly stipend of €1,000.    Health and medical insurance.   Tuition fees (depending on the institution).   Exemption from enrollment and tuition fees, depending on the policy of each university.   Eligibility criteria Academic qualifications: Applicants must hold the appropriate academic qualifications required to enroll in the Italian institution of their choice.    Age limits:  Master’s Degree and AFAM Programs: Applicants should not be older than 28 years by the deadline.    PhD Programs: Applicants should not be older than 30 years by the deadline.   Research Projects: Applicants should not be older than 40 years by the deadline.   Language proficiency:  ...
