Program: Computer Science Allen School Ph.D. students are guaranteed funding through Teaching or Research Assistantships for the first three academic years (Autumn–Spring), excluding summer. Funding generally continues through to graduation if students maintain satisfactory academic progress and fulfil their assistantship duties. Who Can Apply? Eligible: All admitted Ph.D. students in the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and international students What is Covered? Ph.D. funding includes: Monthly salary (based on appointment level and schedule) Tuition waiver at the in-state graduate rate Health insurance (GAIP) Vacation and paid sick leave Appointment types RA (Research Assistant): Typically 50% FTE (20 hrs/week) TA (Teaching Assistant): Also 50% FTE, required for at least 2 quarters before graduation RA/TA split: Allowed up to 62.5% FTE in combination, depending on project needs Summer funding: Not guaranteed.
