A government-funded internship program in Japan connecting foreign talent from developing countries with Japanese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It supports both online and in-person internships with training, living support, and career-building opportunities. Who Can Apply? Applicants must: Be nationals of OECD/DAC-listed countries (excluding China) Be 18 to 40 years old as of August 25, 2025 Have at least a junior college, technical college, or higher education background Have Japanese (JLPT N3+) or English language proficiency Not currently reside in Japan Be able to submit proof of enrollment or graduation and language qualifications Be interested in working in Japan Not have participated in this program from FY2016 to FY2024 What Is Covered? Online Internship: Daily stipend equivalent to 1,000 yen in local currency Necessary digital tools and communication support (e.g., internet, PC) In-Person Internship in Japan: Daily stipend of 3,000 yen Round-trip airfare (economy class) Accommodation and local transport Visa support Mobile phone lending Insurance (contract performance, liability, etc.) ...
