The West African Science Service Centre on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL), with sponsorship from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), is offering the International Master’s Programme in Energy and Green Hydrogen (IMP-EGH). This program is open to applicants from all 15 ECOWAS countries, focusing on building expertise in sustainable energy solutions and green hydrogen technology to tackle climate change adaptation and resilience in West Africa. Who can apply? Citizens of ECOWAS member countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo. Candidates with relevant academic backgrounds in energy, environmental sciences, engineering, economics, or related fields. Strong interest in renewable energy and green hydrogen technologies. What is covered? Fully funded by BMBF, covering tuition, research costs, and some living expenses. Language training for 4 months to improve proficiency. Hands-on training and research opportunities in climate-resilient energy systems. Access to a network of universities and institutions specializing in green energy solutions.
