The Purdue University Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) 2026 is an 11-week fully funded program for undergraduate students to conduct research under the guidance of faculty, graduate students, and postdoctoral mentors. The program runs from June 1 to August 7, 2026 at the West Lafayette or Indianapolis campus.

Who Can Apply?

• Undergraduate students enrolled full-time in any university, both in the USA and internationally

• Must have completed at least one semester/quarter before the application deadline

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8/4.0 or equivalent

What Is Covered?

• $6,500 stipend

• $2,500 housing allowance with furnished accommodation

• Travel reimbursement up to $1,000

Eligibility Criteria

• Enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s degree program

• Completed at least one semester/quarter

• Strong academic record

• International students must apply for a J-1 visa
