PhD students admitted to the Mathematics Department receive full funding for five years, which includes a stipend, tuition, health and dental insurance, and access to fellowships and assistantships. Master’s students are self-funded but may seek employment or external support. Applicants to the PhD program in Mathematics Master’s applicants are not automatically funded but may apply for external fellowships or campus jobs Monthly stipend Full tuition and fees GradCare health insurance Dental Option I plan Admission to the PhD program Enrollment in at least 6 credits/term (PhD) Maintain good academic standing Completion of employment paperwork (GSIs/GSRAs) Submit a graduate application to the PhD program in Mathematics Funding is automatically offered upon admission No separate application for departmental GSI/GSRA positions or fellowships is needed Students are encouraged to apply for external fellowships (e.g., NSF GRFP) December 15, 2025 (for Fall 2026 admission)Who Can Apply?
