The Penn Economics Ph.D. program offers comprehensive financial support to most admitted students for five years, covering tuition, health insurance, and a competitive stipend, with additional opportunities through fellowships and assistantships. Prospective and admitted Ph.D. students in the Department of Economics at the University of Pennsylvania. Tuition and fees Penn Student Health Insurance (excluding premium dental) 12-month stipend for five years (amount is competitive and adjusts annually) Benjamin Franklin and Fontaine Fellowships (for eligible candidates) Must be admitted into the Ph.D. program in Economics at Penn. Fontaine Fellowships are for students whose backgrounds, research, and experiences enhance diversity and inclusion. No separate financial aid application is needed.
