The CLARITY-Africa PhD Scholarship is part of the Climate Change Resilient Equitable Healthy Cities in Africa (CLARITY-Africa) project, coordinated by Imperial College London in partnership with the University of Ghana (UG), the Africa Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Research & Innovation Centre (AIMS RIC), and other leading universities. The project aims to investigate the impact of climate change on environmental risks such as heat, flooding, and drought in four African cities: Accra and Tamale (Ghana) and Kigali and Musanze (Rwanda).  PhD students recruited for this project will conduct research on climate and environmental risks and will be supervised by faculty members from the CLARITY consortium. The PhD program lasts 4 years at UG and 3 years at AIMS RIC, with opportunities for attachments to relevant institutions and collaborative research with partner organizations  Who can apply?  Applicants from any African country can apply for AIMS RIC.  Only Ghanaian nationals can apply for the University of Ghana.  What is covered?  The scholarship provides full funding for:  Tuition fees  Research expenses  Living stipend   Travel costs  Eligibility criteria?  Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field such as:  Climate Science  Demography  ...
