The ICP “Master of Transportation Sciences—Road Safety in Low & Middle Income Countries” is a 2-year multidisciplinary master’s program focusing on road safety in developing countries. The program combines behavioral sciences, engineering, urban planning, economics, and social sciences to address critical road safety challenges.

Who Can Apply?
Applicants must be nationals and residents of one of the 29 eligible VLIR-UOS countries with a bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences, political/social sciences, mathematics/statistics, economics/transport, urban planning, geography, architecture, or transport/civil engineering.

What Is Covered?

  • Full tuition fees

  • Accommodation and living expenses

  • Travel costs (home country to Belgium and back)

  • Health insurance

  • Additional program-related costs

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:

  • Hold an academic bachelor’s degree in one of the eligible fields (B.Tech or HND is not sufficient).

  • Have a minimum grade of distinction.

  • Be 35 years old or younger at the time of application.

  • Have professional experience in the public or private sector.

  • Have sufficient English proficiency.

  • Be a national and resident of one of the 29 eligible VLIR-UOS countries.
