The DAAD/EPOS Scholarship supports outstanding young professionals from developing countries to pursue the MSc in Environmental Governance (MEG) at the University of Freiburg. This fully funded program is part of the DAAD’s Development-Related Postgraduate Courses (EPOS) initiative, aiming to foster sustainable development through advanced education Who can apply? Citizenship of a developing country listed by the OECD DAC. What is covered? The scholarship includes: Full tuition fee waiver. Monthly stipend for living expenses (approximately €850–€950). Health, accident, and personal liability insurance. Travel allowance. Potential additional benefits such as rent subsidy and family allowances. Eligibility criteria Bachelor’s degree obtained within the last six years (as of October 2025). Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience post-bachelor’s degree (internships and voluntary work are not accepted). Academic performance in the top third of their class.
