The DAAD PRIME (Postdoctoral Researchers International Mobility Experience) program offers postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to combine international research experience with a return phase in Germany. Funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the program provides temporary positions at German universities to support international mobility and reintegration into the German research landscape. Who can apply? Applicants must: Hold a PhD or equivalent degree. Demonstrate above-average qualifications. Plan to continue their research career in Germany. Have not resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies) in the destination country for more than 12 months in the 36 months prior to the application deadline. What is covered? An 18-month employment contract at a German university, including: 12 months of research abroad. 6 months of reintegration phase in Germany. Salary based on the German public sector pay scale (TV-L). Travel allowance for the researcher and accompanying family members. Comprehensive support throughout the fellowship period.
