The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers the "Leadership for Africa" (LfA) scholarship programme to support the academic qualification and advancement of young refugees and national scholars from Benin, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, and Mauritania. The programme provides scholarships for master’s studies in Germany, aiming to contribute to the education of future leaders essential for the development of their home countries. It includes a complementary training programme in good governance, civil society, and career development Who can apply? The programme targets two groups: Highly qualified refugees who meet the following conditions: Holding refugee status in their host countries, granted before April 2, 2023. Country of asylum must be either Benin, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, or Mauritania. Completed bachelor’s degree at the time of application. Highly qualified graduates from Benin, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, or Mauritania who meet the following conditions: Citizenship of one of the above countries.
