PhD studentships supporting research in the humanities and social sciences on Commonwealth-related themes, funded by The Round Table journal and Routledge, in partnership with the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). Who Can Apply? PhD students in humanities or social sciences Registered at either: A UK university, or An ACU member university in a Commonwealth country outside the UK Preference given to fields such as politics, international relations, economics, history, geography, law, development studies, or area studies Applications from STEM students are only eligible if the proposal clearly addresses a policy-related theme What Is Covered? Two awards available: One for UK-based students One for students at non-UK ACU member universities Maximum value: £5,500 per studentship Mentor honorarium: £500 paid to a mentor from a different Commonwealth country Eligibility Criteria Research must meet at least one of the following: Relates to the Commonwealth as a whole or its institutions Has a Commonwealth comparative aspect Is relevant to more than one Commonwealth country Must identify a mentor based in anothe...
