The Baker Donelson Diversity Scholarship is a prestigious opportunity for rising 2L law students who demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion in the legal field. Each year, the firm selects three students to receive a salaried 2L Summer Associate position and a total of $20,000 in scholarship funds, distributed in two phases. Since 2008, the firm has supported future leaders in law through this initiative, reflecting its commitment to building a more inclusive legal profession.  Who Can Apply?  Open to all law students regardless of background, but especially encourages applications from students whose experiences contribute to the diversity of the legal profession. Applicants must:  Be enrolled in a full-time JD program at an ABA-accredited law school.  Be rising 2Ls (i.e. have completed 1L by June 2025, expected graduation in 2027).  Have a strong interest in practicing law at a large firm.  Not be receiving a similar scholarship from another firm.   What Is Covered?  The award includes:  A minimum six-week salaried 2L Summer Associate position in Summer 2026.  A total of $20,000, disbursed as:  $10,000 after completing the summer associate clerkship.  $10,000 upon accepting an associate offer and graduating from law school.  Note: Recipients can split their ...
