Program: Sociology The Sociology graduate program offers a robust academic foundation with structured support for teaching and professional development. Graduate students enrolled in the UC Berkeley Sociology Ph.D. program. GSI (Graduate Student Instructor) roles in undergraduate courses. Pedagogical training via SOCIOL 375. Access to the Teaching Conference for First-Time GSIs and the GSI Teaching & Resource Center resources, including a Certificate Program. Must be a Sociology graduate student. First-time GSIs must complete SOCIOL 375 and attend the mandatory GSI Teaching Conference. Apply for GSI positions through the Sociology Department.
