Program: City and Regional Planning Assistantships are part-time academic roles that provide financial support to full-time Ph.D. and research master’s students who contribute to teaching, research, or academic support, in alignment with the university's mission. Full-time Ph.D. and research master’s students at Cornell University. Stipend (as set by the Board of Trustees) Full tuition credit at the research degree rate Cornell student health insurance Possible stipend supplements or summer appointments (field-specific) Must be a full-time Ph.D. or research master’s student Assistantships are usually in the student’s field or a closely related one International students intending to TA must complete a language assessment (via the International TA Program) if English is not their first language No separate application is required Assistantships are assigned by departments, fields, or Principal Investigators (PIs) Usually offered during admission or by departmental nomination 15 November 2025 Who Can Apply?
