Teaching Assistantships provide continuing graduate students in SIPS with opportunities for financial support and teaching experience. TA-ships include assignments within SIPS and the Undergraduate Biology Program. Positions are competitive and based on instructional needs and student eligibility.  Who can apply?  Continuing SIPS graduate students (M.S., M.S./Ph.D., or Ph.D.)  Students with strong spoken and written English, organizational skills, and interpersonal demeanor  Students who meet course-specific expectations and may need teaching experience to satisfy program requirements  What is covered?  Stipend  Tuition credit  Health insurance  Eligibility criteria Must be a current student in good standing in SIPS  Must submit an application by the annual deadline  Selections are based on:  Course and instructor needs  Applicant’s qualifications, past teaching experience, and availability of other funding  Whether the applicant has a teaching requirement  Previous number of TA appointments  Advisor approval  How to apply?  Fill out the TA application form (linked from SIPS website)  Applications are reviewed by your Section’s DGS, GFC, or Chair, a...
