Teaching Assistantships provide continuing graduate students in SIPS with opportunities for financial support and teaching experience. TA-ships include assignments within SIPS and the Undergraduate Biology Program. Positions are competitive and based on instructional needs and student eligibility. Who can apply? Continuing SIPS graduate students (M.S., M.S./Ph.D., or Ph.D.) Students with strong spoken and written English, organizational skills, and interpersonal demeanor Students who meet course-specific expectations and may need teaching experience to satisfy program requirements What is covered? Stipend Tuition credit Health insurance Eligibility criteria Must be a current student in good standing in SIPS Must submit an application by the annual deadline Selections are based on: Course and instructor needs Applicant’s qualifications, past teaching experience, and availability of other funding Whether the applicant has a teaching requirement Previous number of TA appointments Advisor approval How to apply?
