The Arrell Food Institute Scholarships support high-achieving master's students pursuing research in agriculture and food systems. Recipients, known as Arrell Scholars, contribute to collaborative AFI projects and are mentored by Arrell Chairs. Who Can Apply? Canadian and international students Students entering a full-time Master's program at the University of Guelph in Fall 2025 Must be supervised or co-supervised by an Arrell Food Institute Chair Must have a minimum A- (first-class) average for admission What Is Covered? $50,000 per year, for up to two years (Master's level only) Paid in three equal installments each year (Fall, Winter, Summer) Total award: up to $100,000 Participation in AFI collaborative projects (equivalent to a UNIV*6050 experiential course) Optional deferral of up to one year (with justification and supervisor approval) May transfer to a PhD during award period but funding remains for Master’s duration only Eligibility Criteria Applied to an eligible graduate program by April 15, 2025 Research aligns with the AFI mission: sustainable, healthy, and socially responsible food systems Submitted: All transcripts Two referee assessment...
